Body Shop Yoga and the Instructors

As Leeds first yoga studio, Body Shop Yoga has been offering classes to the community since Feb 2015.  The studio is located in the old Ryan Automotive building which has been in founder, Beth Ryan’s, family for generations. With the help of many close friends, Beth gradually transformed the studio into a serene space to practice yoga. Collaboration with Julie Waters, BSY instructor and wellness expert, further established the studio as a space for students to grow both mentally and physically. Currently, the studio offers a variety of yoga classes, instructors and wellness experiences. Beth Ryan , Instructor, owner  Beth fell in love with yoga when she first began practicing in 2001. Although she first sought yoga for the physical benefits, she quickly noticed the mental benefits as well. Beth wanted to share the gift of yoga with others and completed her 200-hour teacher training with Sacred Glow Yoga in 2014. She opened Body Shop Yoga shortly thereafter. As a licensed professional counselor, Beth brings knowledge of mental health to her teaching style. Her typical class is a vinyasa flow that incorporates mindfulness and breath work. You can expect a combination of stimulating and relaxing sequences. Her classes are open to all levels and modifications are offered to suit the needs of individual students.
